Bill Westmoreland is a photographer, filmmaker, makeup artist and hair stylist.

He has worked on  commercials, videos and CD covers for many musicians and Broadway performers, including "Liza's at the Palace" in 2008 for Liza Minnelli, the cover of DOWNBEAT magazine with Veronica Swift, as well as photographing the best-selling makeup book Your Makeover (2000) by Morgen Schick for Rizzoli Universe. 

As a Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Bill has been represented by ART + COMMERCE since 1986. He has collaborated with such noted  photographers as Robert Mapplethorpe, Annie Leibovitz, Frank Ockenfels, Richard Burbridge, Francesco Scavullo, Richard Avedon, and Ben Hassett, to name a few. Bill has also collaborated with Keith Haring in 1986.

Westmoreland has also had a lifelong interest in painting and architecture. He creates abstract landscape paintings in the studio of the home he designed, for which he won Metropolitan Home Magazine's prestigious "Home Design of the Year" award in 1992. His paintings were featured in Art & Antiques Magazine in 2004, and were in a group show titled "Horizon Lines" at Dorsky Gallery in NYC in 2001, and at a group show at Willow River Gallery, PA, 2010.

In 2009 Bill began to incorporate the horizon line them of his landscape paintings into his photography work and has created an on-going series of abstract landscapes titled, "Drive-By's". He had a one man show of this work at the WCAA gallery in Honesdale, PA in September 2014. His photos were also exhibited at SOHO PHOTO GALLERY in 2022 and 2023. Bill has collaborated with Martha Wilson at several exhibits at PPOW Gallery in NYC since 2015 and at Frac Sud-Cité de l’art contemporain in Marseilles, France, 2022-2023.

Bill Westmoreland has a BFA in painting, drawing, and photography from SFA University, 1974. He completed the NYU Summer  Film Intensive in 1985, and received his MFA in Visual Art, with an emphasis on photography and filmmaking, from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 1997.
